A Short-Term Preventive Maintenance Scheduling Method for Distribution Networks With Distributed Generators and Batteries

Preventive maintenance is applied in distribution networks to prevent failures by performing actions on components that are at risk. Distributed generators (DGs) and batteries can be used support power nearby loads when they isolated due maintenance. In this paper, a novel short-term preventive method proposed explicitly considers the potential of DGs as well uncertainties generated DGs. Two major issues addressed. To deal with large-scale complexity network, depth-first-search clustering divide network into zones. Moreover, capture influence decisions model served load from via generation topological constraints. Then stochastic scenario-based mixed-integer non-linear programming problem formulated determine schedule. We show effectiveness efficiency approach case study based modified IEEE-34 bus where we also compare branch-and-bound particle swarm optimization solver. The results supporting scheduling allows significant reduction losses.
